Joker: Folie à Deux,’ starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, reportedly leans heavily towards being “mostly a jukebox musical,” as confirmed by Variety. The film will include at least 15 covers of “very well-known” songs.

The film had a $200 million budget, with Phoenix slated to earn $20 million and Gaga $12 million. Insiders reveal that the film is shaping up to be mostly a jukebox musical, featuring 15 well-known songs. One of these is reported to be “That’s Entertainment” from the musical “The Band Wagon.” While there’s a possibility for original songs to be added, details remain unknown. Hildur Guðnadóttir, the Oscar-winning composer of the first film, is said to be infusing her distinctive style into each number.
