Jerry Jeudy, Shannon Sharpe trade insults on Twitter: ‘Breath be smelling like your ass’

A former Broncos great and a current wideout are mixing it up on social media.

Denver wide receiver Jerry Jeudy is in his third season in the NFL and has struggled with drops. He has only caught four touchdowns thus far in his career, a disappointing output considering he was the Broncos’ first-round pick in 2020 (though he has missed time with injuries).

Shannon Sharpe, the FS1 host who won two Super Bowls with John Elway and the Broncos in the 1990s, was getting aggravated about the situation during Sunday night’s rock fight between the Broncos and 49ers.

“Juedy [sic] does all this route running in the off season and can’t catch a FCKING pass,” Sharpe tweeted.

To this, the Broncos receiver responded, in a since-deleted tweet, “And you be doing all that talking during the season while your breathe [sic] be smelling like your ass #BigWin.”

For the sake of accuracy, Sharpe has said he brushes his teeth nine times a day and goes through a bottle of Listerine every 10-12 days. It would be astonishing if his breath smelled like his butt.

Nonetheless, Jeudy decided to leave things as they were.

“Lmao ima be the bigger man and let him have that lol good win today doe #GoBroncoz,” Jeudy tweeted.

The Broncos (2-1) ultimately won an 11-10 game and are tied with the Chiefs atop the AFC West. Jeudy had two catches on six targets from Russell Wilson in the victory.

The 54-year-old Sharpe played tight end for the Broncos from 1990-99 and 2002-03. In the interim two seasons, he played for the Baltimore Ravens.
