Developer Lunarch Studios just recently released their latest title, Islands of Insight, on February 13, 2024, and so far the reviews are highly positive. Puzzle aficionados will especially love Islands of Insight, as the game has a whopping collection of over 10,000 puzzles divided across 24 puzzle types. Suffice it to say, you are going to be spending countless hours trying to solve these puzzles. But before that, a lot of curious players want to know whether the game supports mods, HDR, ultrawide, AMD FSR 3, and DLSS.

From modding to upscaling, players expect features like these to be there when a game is released. Unfortunately, for one reason or another, a ton of games lack proper support for such features. Some titles might allow you to use mods from the get-go, while others don’t. Then there will be those that will have upscaling and HDR at launch but are missing some other features. So, what’s the case with the Islands of Insight? Well, let’s go ahead and find out.

When it comes to features and options, developer Lunarch Studios’s Islands of Insight doesn’t really offer much. For starters, there’s no modding support available for the game right now. And we don’t even know if the developers plan to add mod support later in the future. While online games can certainly be modded, the decision lies with the developers as to whether they want to add mod support or not. Unfortunately, so far, Lunarch Studios hasn’t made any announcements or even shared any information related to mod support.

The disappointment train doesn’t just end there. There’s also no support for HDR or Ultrawide at the moment. As for DLSS and FSR 3, that’s also the same case here. Now, while both DLSS and FSR 3 might not be available, Islands of Insight does have an upscaling option. FSR 1.0, to be exact. However, because it’s FSR 1.0, there’s really nothing to write home about. Now, since it’s FSR 1.0, you only get four Upscaling Quality options: Ultra Quality, Balanced, Quality, and Performance. And that’s all there is to upscale in the game right now.

Currently, we don’t really know if the developers are planning to add support for all the unavailable features. A lot of players certainly want these features, but only time will tell when the developers introduce HDR, modding, ultrawide, and newer upscaling support to the game. By the way, it’s unlikely that the game will get FSR 3 in the future. So far, only a handful of games happen to have FSR 3 and those who are going to get it in the future have already been announced. Islands of Insight isn’t one of them.

Well, that’s all the information we have on this right now. If the developers do introduce any of these features in later updates, we will be sure to update you regarding the same.
