Valorant is available only on Windows for now. A few gamers are sad as they own a device having macOS. Well, there is a ray of hope for you. You do not have to go through the rigorous process of installing Valorant using Bootcamp. There is a much simpler way to play Valorant on macOS.
Before proceeding to the game installation,
- You need to get Parallel Desktop on your device. You can either get it from the app store or the website.
- After downloading the software, install it on your device.
Install Parallel Desktop
Once you have finished installing the app,
- Right-click on the Parallel Desktop icon from the Dock at the bottom of the screen.
- Click on New
- In the Installation assistant window, select the Install Windows using the DVD or image file option.
- Now, click on Continue.
- In this window, click on Select manually and add the Windows iso file from your local storage. You can also download it from the displayed list.
- Then, click on Continue.
- In the Windows License Key window, uncheck the box that is asking for the key.
- Click on continue to proceed to the next window.
- It will ask for the purpose you are going to use windows. Select the Games-only option and then click on Continue.
- Finally, click on Create to start the installation process.
After the process is complete, close the application. Now, Right-click on the Parallel desktop from the Dock and select the Windows OS that you installed just now. You have to wait for Windows to launch normally. This might take some time.
Play Valorant on MacOS
In this parallel Windows OS, download the Valorant game. Now, follow the steps to install the application.
- Open the directory in which you have downloaded Valorant.
- Run the installation file.
- In the starting screen of the setup wizard, click on the Advanced option which is just below the Install button.
- Select the directory in which you want to install the game.
- Now, click on Install.
- Wait for the process to finish.
Once the entire process is complete, right-click on the Valorant shortcut from the Desktop. Click on run as administrator. The game might take some time to start because you are running it in a fake Windows environment. Despite that, the game should run relatively smoothly. You can enjoy the game.
