Yanks’ Isiah Kiner-Falefa is the only modern-day player to achieve this

Yankees rising star Isiah Kiner-Falefa can do it all. “Being the first player in modern history to play catcher, third, and shortstop meant the world to me,” he told The Post. “It did a lot for my confidence.” He’s played more than 50 games at both shortstop and catcher in the majors. Next up for this Hawaii native, “it’s the World Series or bust.”


Coming up, Kiner-Falefa said he was “always doubted” as an athlete because of his short stature. That definitely changed after winning a 2020 Golden Glove with the Texas Rangers.
