Samsung has released the One UI 6 schedule for its devices in many regions. And as per the timeline, Samsung is ahead of schedule. The Galaxy A53 which was supposed to get Android 14 in December is already getting the Android 14 update. Yes, Galaxy A53 starts receiving Android 14 based One UI 6 update.


The Android 14 update for Galaxy A53 is rolling out in Europe. You can expect the update to be available in more regions soon maybe in a couple of days. Galaxy A53 5G is a mid range budget phone released in 2022 with Android 12 update. So this Android 14 is the second major update for the device.


Galaxy A53 Android 14 update is rolling out in Europe with build number A536BXXU7DWK6 and build date of November 14. Along with new features and changes the update also improves the Android security patch to November 2023.

Coming to what’s new in the update, you will be getting a bunch of new Android 14 features along with Galaxy exclusive One UI 6 features. The list of changes include new UI for Quick Panel, set clock widget anywhere in lock screen, updated Stock Apps, support for even bigger fonts than before, new Media Player UI in notification and lock screen, new and redesigned widgets, redesigned Emojis, and many other features. If you own Galaxy A53 in Europe, you will receive the update soon if you haven’t already. Similar to other updates, it is also a batch rollout which means the update is gradually rolling out and could take time before it is available to everyone.


To make sure you stay up to date, you can check for the update manually by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. The new update will appear here. Before updating your phone, make sure to take backup of your phone and also charge it to at least 50%.
