Georgiev, 26, played parts of five seasons with the Rangers. He had a 2.94 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage in 129 appearances, including 117 starts.

The Rangers had until 5 p.m. Monday to trade Georgiev before a $2.65 million qualifying offer was due. He’d become a free agent without receiving the qualifying offer.

The Avalanche, who now appear unlikely to keep Darcy Kuemper, had interest in Georgiev before the NHL trade deadline, The Post’s Larry Brooks reported.
