Olivia Culpo had a painful exchange with her boyfriend, 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, on the sidelines of Sunday’s game against the Chargers.
The model/actress took to her Instagram to share that McCaffrey’s helmet might’ve injured her when the two shared a hug before the 22-16 win over the Chargers at Levi’s Stadium.
“I just gave Christian a hug. He was wearing his helmet and I think he just broke my jaw when he came forward and gave me a hug,” she said. “And I have a whole new respect for the game now.”
Culpo and McCaffrey’s mother, Lisa, watched Sunday’s game from a private suite at Levi’s Stadium. The TLC star shared selfies with Lisa, who was seen in a separate clip twirling a baton.

McCaffrey had another impactful performance on Sunday after arriving in San Francisco from Carolina following a midseason trade last month. His two-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter gave the Niners a 19-16 lead, and sealed the win over the Chargers.
After the big play, NBC cameras captured Lisa, who appeared to drop an F-bomb while cheering on her son.
McCaffrey rushed 14 times for 38 yards and a touchdown while catching four of six targets for 39 yards. He now has recorded four touchdowns in three games since joining the 49ers.
At the time, Culpo shared that she was going through “so many emotions,” but added that she is “ready for anything” with McCaffrey. She also gushed over McCaffrey’s move to California, where she has lived for the last eight years.
Culpo was also present for McCaffrey’s historic game against the Rams last month. The All-Pro running back became the first player since 2005 and the 11th player in NFL history with a rushing touchdown, a passing touchdown and a receiving touchdown in one game.

The 49ers next play the Cardinals, an NFC West rival, in Mexico City on “Monday Night Football.”
