Tyler Terry was arrested on May 24 near Richburg Road after a week-long manhunt.
On May 23, he was seen off of the Ligon Road. There were around 200 police officers in that area who were after him. On the following day, the other 100 officers were added to the team.
They aggressively searched for Tyler and blocked the entry and exit points. He was homeless and the officers found him in the woods near Richburg Road.
At that time, Tyler was unarmed and was lying on the ground. Thus, no shots were fired while taking him into custody. As per WMBF News, Tyler Terry was previously arrested several times.
In 2019, he was charged for assaulting Adrienne Simpson. He hit her with machete and punched her as well.
After that, Terry was booked for first-degree domestic violence. He hit Simpson so hard that her eyes were swollen, and she lost hearing sensation in the right ear.
In March 2021, Tyler was arrested for possession of marijuana and third-degree domestic violence. He was released on April 9, after which he went spanning and firing gunshots in the air.
