The Truth About Janet Jackson's Marriage To Wissam Al Mana

After Janet Jackson and Wissam Al Mana's separation, both parties only had good things to say about each other. On his official website, Al Mana posted a photo of Jackson with a message that read, "To the most beautiful person in the world, thank you for your divine love, your eternal support and for being my best friend. I love you so much," as reported by People. The two also worked together to co-parent their son Eissa.

In 2018, however, allegations about the ex-couple's relationship came out. Jackson reportedly asked authorities to do a welfare check on Eissa, who at that time was in the care of Al Mana in California. She was concerned that Al Manna was using drugs in the presence of their son. Deputies were dispatched and reported that the child was safe and that there was no evidence of drugs being used, which made them question Jackson's claims (via The Blast). Further investigation into the matter revealed that Jackson and Al Mana had been having verbal arguments. Jackson's brother, Randy, also alleged that Al Mana was abusive toward his sister. "It came later on in the relationship, verbal abuse being made to feel like a prisoner in her own home. No pregnant woman needs to go through being called a b***h every day. There were things like that. That's what she went through," he told People.

Jackson is focused on raising her son while working on her music after the split. "It's not easy at times, but my life has changed. Obviously my baby comes first," she said, per the Daily Telegraph.
