Taylor Swift gets drenched by downpour at ‘Eras’ show: ‘Is this going to work?’

She had her fans drop everything and meet her in the pouring rain.

Taylor Swift performed through the downpour at her show in Foxborough, Massachusetts, at Gillette Stadium, on Saturday.

The singer-songwriter performed her full 40-plus-song Eras Tour setlist in a full-on rainstorm over the weekend — something the 33-year-old is known for doing.

During the concert, Swift called the show the “rainiest rain show that ever rain showed, ever, ever, ever.”

As the rain continued to pour down, the musician jokingly asked if her instruments would even work.

“Is this going to work?” Swift asked as she strummed her acoustic guitar.

“No one ever expects that you’re basically going to perform in a shower,” she added.

Once everyone cleared the stadium, the star thanked her fans for singing along in the rain.

“Last night we all danced together in the rain for THE ENTIRE 3.5 HOUR SHOW in foxy Foxborough MA!! We’ve had rain shows at Gillette Stadium before but this was a full on deluge that never let up, I just want to thank that iconic crowd!! Love you so much you have no idea,” she tweeted.

Photos and videos of the sold-out concert showed Swift drenched as she continued on with her costume changes and theatrics during the hours-long show singing songs from all ten of her albums.

Fans continued to cheer as their perfectly crafted costumes never went out of style even through the continued rainfall.

The Massachusetts shows weren’t the first to be rained down on. Swarms of concertgoers who showed up at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium several weeks ago were forced to shelter in place for close to four hours due to severe stormy weather.

Swift has a big reputation for performing in the rain and has a special place in her heart for Gillette Stadium.

The stadium just outside of Boston was the first stadium that the Grammy winner ever played 13 years ago (Swift’s iconic favorite number) and the rain came down that night, too.

“Since that show, we’ve had many, many memorable experiences together,” Swift told the crowd.

“We’ve had some good times. We’ve had some wild times. We’ve had some rainy times. But those ended up being the times of our lives. And I am here to officially proclaim this a rain show.”

Sunday night was the star’s 13th show, giving Swift and her fans another special tie to the show.

After taking a few days off to dry off and recover, the next Eras Tour show will be in New Jersey on Friday.
