The 2x Oscar nominee is in talks to join the Gareth Edwards’ directed reboot of Jurassic World at Universal.
This has been out there in the ether for some time, however, it’s looking quite solid. This puts Scarlett Johansson in business with another major movie franchise following her Black Widow days at Marvel, which resulted in the star suing Disney over the 2021 pandemic release of that movie, which the studio opted to go day-and-date on with Disney+, thus siphoning box office grosses. The two sides ultimately settled.
Universal is assembling the project quick for a July 2, 2025 release.
