‘House of the Dragon’ Season 2 New Black and Green Trailer Has Dropped on Max

Max has released two new trailers for ‘House of the Dragon,’ asking viewers to pick a side in Season 2. They have dropped the Black trailer and the Green trailer. The premiere on Max is set for June 16, 2024.

‘House of the Dragon’ is serving as a prequel to ‘Game of Thrones.’ Set about 100 years after the Targaryen Conquest, it follows the events leading to the “Dance of the Dragons” war. The first season premiered in August 2022, and the series has been renewed for a second season by HBO, with Ryan Condal as the showrunner. The series was created by George R. R. Martin and Condal for HBO.

According to reports, HBO is reportedly considering a Season 3 for ‘House of the Dragon’ after wrapping up Season 2.

Season 2 stars Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen, Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, Emma D’Arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen, Rhys Ifans as Otto Hightower, Steve Toussaint as Corlys Velaryon, Eve Best as Rhaenys Targaryen, Sonoya Mizuno as Mysaria, Fabien Frankel as Criston Cole, Graham McTavish as Harrold Westerling, Matthew Needham as Larys Strong, Jefferson Hall as Tyland Lannister / Jason Lannister, Harry Collett as Jacaerys Velaryon, Tom Glynn-Carney as Aegon II Targaryen, Ewan Mitchell as Aemond Targaryen, Bethany Antonia as Baela Targaryen, Phoebe Campbell as Rhaena Targaryen, Phia Saban as Helaena Targaryen. The co-starring roles include Anthony Flanagan as Steffon Darklyn, Paul Kennedy as Jasper Wylde, Jordon Stevens as Elinda Massey, Luke Tittensor as Arryk Cargyll, Max Wrottesley as Lorent Marbrand.

Martin serves as the co-creator and executive producer, while Condal takes on the roles of co-creator, showrunner, and executive producer. Also, Sara Hess, Alan Taylor, Melissa Bernstein, Kevin de la Noy, Loni Peristere, and Vince Gerardis are also executive producers.

Season 1 followed Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen (D’Arcy) in her quest to become the chosen heir of King Viserys I (Patty Considine), leading up to the war of succession between the Targaryens.
