Sean Reid-Foley, a candidate for a spot in the Mets’ bullpen, allowed all three batters he faced to reach base in the Mets’ 5-1 split-squad loss to the Marlins in Jupiter, Fla. The right-hander, who recently battled biceps discomfort, was pitching in his first Grapefruit League since March 9. He was removed after 23 pitches.

Diaz Dazzles

After walking two batters in his previous Grapefruit League appearance, Edwin Diaz pitched a perfect sixth inning in the Mets’ 10-1 victory over the Nationals at Clover Park.
