The Mets have landed a strong bat one week before Opening Day.
J.D. Martinez and the Mets have agreed to a one-year, $12 million contract, The Post’s Jon Heyman reported.
Martinez, according to Heyman, recently declined a $15 million offer from the Giants because their stadium was not a strong fit.
