At least part of the Nets’ Kyrie Irving headache is behind them.
On Friday, New York determined the HSS Training Center, the Brooklyn Nets’ practice facility, is a private office building, according to The Athletic. That mean Kyrie Irving can practice while at home despite his unvaccinated status.
Nets coach Steve Nash said he was hopeful Irving would join the team for practice on Saturday, but could not confirm it would happen.
“It’s positive to be able to welcome him back into the building and have him be part of the team…It sounds like it’s positive news,” Nash told the media on Friday.
Barclays Center, however, remains another story.
Irving is still not allowed to suit up for games on the Nets’ home court — or at the Garden when facing the Knicks — due to the city’s vaccination mandates.
