Kate Middleton to skip St. Patrick’s Day Parade for the first time in years despite being honored

Irish fans looking forward to seeing Kate Middleton at the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade are not in luck as the ailing Princess of Wales will not attend the event.

Middleton, 42, nor her husband, Prince William, 41, will be in attendance at the event Sunday at Mons Barracks in Aldershot, England, as the nowhere-to-be-seen Middleton continues to recover from planned abdominal surgery.

The mother of three has attended the parade regularly since 2012, except when she skipped it back in 2016.

Middleton became the honorary Colonel of the Irish Guards last year following the death of Queen Elizabeth II’s death.

“I am here to listen to you, to support you, and to champion you in all you do – this is a responsibility I do not take lightly,” she said in a speech at last year’s event.

“I look forward to spending more time with you and your families, seeing your commitment to duty and service in all you do. Before I close, however, I want to thank Colonel William. He has always talked about his fierce pride for this Regiment. I know he will continue to support us all in the work we do,” she gushed as her hubby.

Queen Elizabeth monarch named William as honorary Colonel of the Irish Guards in 2011, just two months before his royal wedding. Still, he became Colonel of the Welsh Guards in 2022, coordinating with his new title as the Prince of Wales.

A source tells People that the Irish Guards are wishing Middleton a speedy recovery and will give three cheers to her at the end of their celebratory parade this weekend.

The Post has contacted Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace for comment.

The Irish Guards’ honor arrives as conspiracy theories continue to spread online about Middleton’s whereabouts.

Although the Palace previously announced that she would not be returning to her public duties until after Easter, fans are questioning why Middleton hasn’t been spotted in public since undergoing abdominal surgery in January.

Concern not only for her health, but her whereabouts reached a new high this week after she released — then apologized for — an edited photo of her with her children for the UK’s Mother’s Day.

Internet sleuths also suggest that another photo of Middleton in a car following the scandal is photoshopped but Middleton, nor the palace, have addressed that rumor.
