Jacob Elordi Shocks ‘SNL’ Monologue With Steamy ‘Saltburn’ Scene: “I Was The One In The Grave”

Jacob Elordi took his turn as the Saturday Night Live host and kept it short and sweet. The Euphoria actor started off the night by acknowledging the virality of his latest film.

“It is so exciting to be here hosting the first and, so far, best show in 2024,” Elordi said during his monologue.

Elordi reminded the viewers that he is most recognizable at the moment for his role of Felix Catton in Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn but “not from seeing the film, just from seeing the TikToks.”

A scene from the movie played where Barry Keoghan’s Oliver Quick is naked on top of Felix’s grave with Elordi adding, “Yeah, I was the one in the grave.”

“But if you saw the movie, thank you,” he continued. “If you saw the movie with your parents, I’m sorry. And if you saw the movie with your girlfriend, you’re welcome.”

Elordi said he wasn’t “much of a public speaker” and opened the floor to questions from the audience, which included praise for his work in Priscilla as Elvis and a fan just wanting a moment to stare at him.

At the end of the questions, Elordi took time to express how grateful he was for hosting the NBC sketch show.

“Before we start, I just want to take a moment to say how grateful I am to be here,” he said. “I’ve been acting now for like seven years and it’s so easy to get caught up in the rush of trying to get to the next thing and the next thing.”

He continued, “But tonight, the people I love are here. You all are here and because of you, I’m here. Thank you so much.”
