Extraction games are all the craze right now and there’s a ton of new titles in the genre being announced and released. Just recently, on March 29, 2024, developer Breach.gg launched their own free-to-play extraction RPG called Project Apidom. The game was released as an early access title on Steam and Epic Games for Windows, Linux, and macOS. Reviews for Project Apidom haven’t been great so far due to major server problems and other technical issues. Furthermore, the player base seems to be pretty small, going by the player number on Steam Charts. Now, like any other newly released title, there’s a lot about it that players want to know about. And Project Apidom’s console release is something that many are curious about.

The Battle Royale hype has gone down a lot over the past few years, with the extraction genre now taking its place. Thanks to the success of titles like Escape from Tarkov, Hunt: Showdown, Deep Rock Galactic, and more, a ton of other new extraction games are being released. While that’s great for fans of the genre, there’s an ongoing problem where most extraction titles aren’t released for consoles at all. So, is Project Apidom going to be one of those titles or is it releasing for consoles? And if it is, then when? Well, let’s find out all about that.

At the time of publishing this, developer Breach.gg hasn’t shared any information or even made an announcement regarding Project Apidom’s console releases. So, at least until further notice, Project Apidom remains a PC-only title. It is certainly quite unfortunate news to hear, considering that some players really wanted to enjoy the game on their consoles.

Since the devs haven’t shared any plans or details regarding Project Apidom’s console release, it’s highly likely that Breach.gg is currently sticking to the PC version. And that’s probably for the best. To be entirely honest, the game really needs a lot of polishing, as evidenced by its Steam reviews. The early access should help with that. Furthermore, the developers have mentioned on the Steam page that they plan to have Project Apidom in early access for about a year. And it’s unlikely that we will see Project Apidom’s console release during this period.

So, what about a console port after the game comes out of early access? Well, that’s something yet to be decided by the devs. If there’s a considerable amount of demand from the player base and feasibility for a console port, then we are confident that Breach.gg will try to do a console port. For now, all you can do is enjoy Project Apidom on PC. If the developers do announce a console port, then we will be sure to let our readers know all about it.
