The film will explore the rivalry between Madden and NFL Hall of Famer Joe Montana, with Montana emerging as his rival in a time-sensitive race as he simultaneously develops his own video game.

World of Reel reports that Tom Hanks is in discussions to portray Oakland Raiders football coach Al Davis. Filming is set to commence this fall.

Jackman’s next appearance will be in Marvel’s ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ as Wolverine, alongside Ryan Reynolds. The film is set to hit theaters on July 26, 2024.

Russell has five projects in the works: ‘Madden,’ a Linda Ronstadt biopic starring Selena Gomez, a ‘Get Smart’ reboot, a FIFA limited series, and ‘Toys’ with Sacha Baron Cohen and Keke Palmer.

‘Madden’ is scheduled for release in 2025, although no specific date has been announced yet.
