Take a Screenshot on Galaxy Tab S9 using Gesture


Almost every phone come with a gesture to take screenshots. Talking about Samsung device, they come with palm gesture which is a bit difficult and I think Samsung need to make it easy. Anyway you should know how to use it.


Step 1: On your Galaxy Tab S9, open Settings.


Step 2: Navigate to Advanced features > Motions and gestures.

Step 5: Swipe palm across the screen either from left or right side.


Step 6: This will capture the page and you will also get the quick action menu. From the menu you can quick edit the screenshot or you can also share the screenshot.


When you take the screenshot, it will be saved in the Screenshot folder that you can access directly in Gallery as well as File Manager.

Take a Screenshot on Galaxy Tab S9 using Buttons


Similar to all Samsung Galaxy phones, the Tab S9 also has the button shortcut to capture screenshot. But as the Tablet is big pressing multiple buttons as the same time is challenging. It is not easy like small phones. But if you are unable to capture screenshot using the above method you can try it.


Step 1: Open the screen that you want to capture.


Step 2: Now press Power and Volume Down button at the same time.


Step 3: This will take a screenshot.


Similar to the last method you will be given quick action menu after taking the screenshot. You can take action if you want, or you can leave it.

Edge Panel is a cluster of various shortcut actions and apps. From the Edge Panel you can also take screenshot. But first you need to enable it and then you will be able to use it. Let’s see how it works.


Step 1: Open Settings on your Galaxy tablet and navigate to Display settings.


Step 2: Scroll down and turn on the toggle for Edge Panels. Once enable you will see a transparent line at the side.

Step 4:. From the transparent line swipe to the left a bit to bring up Edge Panel options.


Step 5: Now tap the Take screenshots icon and your Tab will take the screenshot.

Edge Panels could have more pages based on your preference you selected in the Settings. So make sure to swipe through available pages when you don’t find Take screenshot icon after bringing Edge Panel screen.


How to Take a Long Screenshot on Galaxy Tab S9


If you want to capture a page that goes beyond one screen, then you can take scrolling screenshots. For example you want to capture the Settings page from the first to last settings all in one page, or you want to capture a long page. Its quite easy.



Note: Not every page support long screenshot. You can find out which pages are supported while attempting the given steps.



Step 1: Open the page you want to capture.


Step 2: Take the screenshot using any of the above methods.


Step 3: Now at the bottom menu that appear after taking screenshot, look for two down arrows. Tap on it before the menu disappear.

Step 4: When you tap the arrow icon, the screenshot will expand to next page. Tap the arrow icon until it covers up to the point you want to capture in a single screenshot.


This way you can capture long screenshot also known as scrolling screenshot. Remember, if you want to share the long screenshot with other, make sure to share in full quality otherwise nothing will be visible if its a quite long screenshot.
