Once again, the New York Mets are starting over.

After a much-hyped 2022 with aces Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer fell apart, owner Steve Cohen brought in General Manager David Stearns to turn things around.

Throughout the offseason, the Brewers’ former GM dumped Manager Buck Showalter and hired Yankees bench coach Carlos Mendoza to take his place.

Stearns also shored up the depleted starting rotation adding veterans Luis Severino, Sean Manaea, and Adrian Houser alongside stalwarts Kodai Senga and Jose Quintana.

Thankfully, he didn’t have to do too much work on the offensive side with perennial stars Pete Alonso, Jeff McNeil, Francisco Lindor, Brandon Nimmo, and Starling Marte set to return.

Plus, flame-throwing closer Edwin Díaz will be back after missing 2022 due to a knee injury.

Maybe just maybe this is the Amazins’ year.

And if you want to be there to catch the beginning of the promising, scrappy Stearns/Mendoza era at Citi Field this spring and summer, you can for cheap.

At the time of publication, our team found home game tickets going for as low as $5 before fees on Vivid Seats.

That’s less than it’ll cost you to buy a beer at the ballpark.

Throw in giveaways like a Brandon Nimmo bobblehead and Mike Piazza replica jerseys and you’ve got yourself a bona fide steal of a deal.

For those outside of the Mets home market, we recommend watching via MLB.tv.

Mets news

Although things look rough right now — franchise players Kodai Senga and Jeff McNeil are injured at the moment — Carlos Mendoza remains optimistic.
