Burns said, “We’re going to go out with the Twilight series, an animated series; I think there’ll be a lot of interest in that.” Burns added, “I think we’ll take one of our great action franchises starring Keanu Reeves; I think it’ll be a television series.”

The new John Wick series follows the prequel ‘The Continental,’ which comprised three one-and-a-half-hour movies.

Recently, ‘The Continental,’ a spin-off and prequel in the John Wick franchise, premiered on Peacock. It follows the backstory of Winston Scott, set in an alternate history 1970s, showcasing how he rose to become the proprietor of the New York branch of “The Continental” chain of hotels. These establishments serve as safe havens for legal assassins, where no business may ever transpire.

The next installment in the John Wick franchise is titled ‘Ballerina,’ starring Ana de Armas in the lead role. Directed by Len Wiseman and written by Shay Hatten, Michael Finch, and Emerald Fennell, the movie is the second spin-off in the John Wick series. It’s set between ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’ (2019) and ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ (2023).

In an interview with Variety, Ian McShane calls ‘Ballerina’ a very different John Wick film. They’ve added three scenes from ‘The Continental’ show.

‘Ballerina’ will hit theaters on June 7, 2024, by Lionsgate.
