‘Good Morning Football’ host Jamie Erdahl details harrowing medical situation with daughter Nora’s birth

NFL Network personality Jamie Erdahl recalled breaking down in “petrified tears” when a scary situation unfolded as she gave birth to her daughter, Nora James, in New Jersey on March 30.

Taking to social media on Monday, Erdahl — who serves as a co-host on “Good Morning Football” —explained that she underwent an emergency C-section due to the umbilical cord being prolapsed and around Nora’s neck.

“To myself who thought everything was fine until it wasn’t,” Erdahl began on Instagram, where she shared photos from the hospital with husband Sam Buckman and newborn Nora.

“To my husband who met my petrified tears with calm and strength despite his own terror. To my nurse and her ability to identify a problem that got our healthy baby girl out 6 minutes later.”

Nora was born “healthy and beautiful,” Erdahl said, adding her family is now complete.

Erdahl, who shares three daughters with Buckman, her husband of nearly six years, went on to thank her medical team and family for keeping her calm during a difficult situation.

“To my doctor who rode on the bed with me to the OR and her powerful voice that commanded a bad situation,” she wrote. “To my anesthesiologist who advocated one last time on my behalf to not be fully sedated. To my mom who never once let her fear ripple out onto our little girls at home that there could be a problem brewing. To my sister who had a plane ticket booked before knowing the outcome of my emergency C-section. To sweet baby Nora James who cried one loud healthy cry right when she could to tell me she was ok,” Erdahl continued.

“To my body…Thank you. We did it. That was hard. My family is complete. Time to rest.”

In response to her post on Monday, Erdahl received a slew of well wishes from the NFL community.

“Well done momma,” Charissa Thompson of Fox Sports and Amazon wrote.

Melissa Stark, “Sunday Night Football’s” sideline reporter, also posted, “A miracle every time!!!”

Erdahl announced her pregnancy on the Halloween episode of “GMFB” last October, when she dressed in a red jumpsuit emulating Rihanna at Super Bowl 2023, when the music superstar ignited pregnancy buzz at the halftime show, later confirmed to be true.

Erdahl, who replaced former “GMFB” host Kay Adams (now at FanDuel TV), will relocate from New York to Los Angeles, where the show will begin filming later this year.

There is no premiere date yet.
