“Friends” star Courteney Cox and ex-husband David Arquette have yet to make a fan out of their daughter, Coco.

The former couple revealed in an interview with Extra that Coco has only seen part of “Scream,” as she does not like watching her parents’ films.

Cox and Arquette first met 25 years ago on the set of Wes Craven’s 1996 horror classic. Talking about its upcoming fifth installment, Arquette noted their daughter has never seen the franchise. Cox agreed, saying Coco does not like to watch “anything we do.”

“I’m gonna make her watch this one with her eyes open,” she said. “I didn’t watch most of this film, I hear it’s really good.”

The actress said, however, Coco, who is currently completing her senior year in high school, will likely join the entertainment business as well. “

Oh, for sure,” she said. “Although she is tortured by me saying, ‘Can we do something for Instagram?’ or ‘Can I film this?’ She doesn’t like it at all. She gets really mad, and I have to negotiate,” she added. “I use her for Instagram, and she knows it, and she really rebels, but since she’s going to be in the business, I know… She’ll have to get used to some eyes on her.”

Arquette, who reunited with his ex-wife for the fifth film, recently reminisced about working on the first “Scream” film and how it led to him becoming a father. “Thank God for Wes Craven because I got a baby out of it,” he said on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” back in November. “I mean, not Wes Craven, thanks Courteney Cox!”

Last week, he also opened up about his experience reuniting with Cox on the latest sequel during an interview with The New York Times. “It’s been 25 years of our lives,” he said. “We’ve grown up together. We have a child together. It’s a cathartic experience to just be able to act opposite Courteney.”

The fifth “Scream” will see Arquette and Cox reunite with Neve Campbell. It is set to hit theaters Friday.
