Dallas, Texas -- A 22-year-old man has been arrested after he viciously beat a woman inside a motel room after intending to pay for sex and later dumped the victim on a street, where she was left to die.

The suspect, identified as Andre Woods was arrested and he later admitted to beating the unidentified woman inside a motel room in Dallas after he picked her up Sunday. He was caught after he unwittingly left a receipt with his name and location on the woman's body, the arrest affidavit said.

Woods attempted to cover up the crime by cleaning the room with bleach before dropping her off at a nearby street corner, Dallas Morning News reported.

The emergency officers later found the woman dead in the street. They also found a receipt on the victim's sandal that had Woods' name and room number written on it.

When the deputies arrived at the motel room, they saw Woods driving by and made eye contact with him, reports said. They found puddles of bleach outside the room.

During a search inside the room, the deputies found a butter knife on the floor and a blood spatter on the wall.

Woods was caught after a brief police chase that ended with him crashing his car into a guardrail. He was taken into custody and shifted to a hospital for evaluation.

Although Woods initially denied knowing the woman, after showing evidence from the motel room, he confessed to the crime, NYPost reported.

During interrogation, Woods said he picked up the woman outside a liquor store to pay her for sex. He admitted to the deputies that he later got into a fight with the victim and punched her 20 times. Woods also admitted that he broke the victim's nose and cleaned up the room to remove blood stains.

However, Woods claimed that the woman was alive when he drove her to the location where her body was later found. He was charged with murder.

Woods is currently held in the Dallas County jail, with a bail set at $1 million.
