Juan Soto crushes two mammoth blasts for first Yankees multi-homer game

Juan Soto is back to looking like Juan Soto.

Following a quiet eight-game stretch in which he went 4-for-31, the Yankees’ star outfielder busted out by homering in two of his first three at-bats Saturday against the White Sox.

It marked Soto’s first multi-home run game as a Yankee and the 18th of his career.

Both home runs were absolute no-doubters to right field off White Sox right-hander Brad Keller.

The first was a 417-foot shot in the first inning on a changeup down the middle to tie the game at one.

Then, after roping an RBI single in the second inning, Soto came back up in the fifth and turned on an inside fastball for a 437-foot blast to make it a 6-1 Yankees lead.

With the two-homer day, Soto now has 11 on the season, joining teammates Aaron Judge (12) and Giancarlo Stanton (11) in double digits, with Stanton also homering off Keller on Saturday.

Soto’s big day came two days after he and Hal Steinbrenner both said they would be open to in-season talks about a contract extension, even if the 25-year-old is still likely to hit free agency for a huge payday next offseason.
