Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green had a good laugh over those who left gun comments under his recent Instagram Live.
Green, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, brushed off the comments, which appeared to reference Grizzlies star Ja Morant, who is currently suspended indefinitely by the team after he was filmed on Instagram Live on May 13 holding a gun for the second time in less than three months.
Green’s Instagram Live resurfaced in social media videos on Wednesday.
It showed him in a car, appearing to tell someone off camera that people in the comments were warning him not to pull out a gun.
“Everybody’s commenting, ‘don’t put no pistol up,'” Green said while laughing in the camera.
“They wildin’… I don’t got no gun.”
The video showed some of the comments from users including: “Don’t flash no gun” and “Don’t pull a Ja and pull the gun out.”
Green did not name Morant or reference his situation in the video.
Green’s video became public hours after the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee sent police to Morant’s home for a welfare check after the 23-year-old shared concerning messages on his Instagram Story that were later deleted.
A spokesperson told TMZ Sports that Morant “is fine,” following his posts, which included photos of his family and one message that just read: “Bye.”
Morant reportedly said the messages were just about taking a break from social media.

It came after the two-time NBA All-Star was seen with a gun in a separate Instagram Live on March 4 at the Shotgun Willie’s strip club in Glendale, Colo. following a Grizzlies loss to the Nuggets in Denver.
That video was posted from Morant’s Instagram account, and a separate NBA investigation found he was intoxicated at the time.

“I know I’ve disappointed a lot of people who have supported me,” he said, according to ESPN. “This is a journey and I recognize there is more work to do. My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my actions. I’m committed to continuing to work on myself.”
Morant previously served an eight-game NBA suspension without pay after the first gun incident.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver told ESPN last week that the league is gathering information for its investigation, and he’s “assuming the worst.”
Morant signed a five-year rookie maximum extension with the Grizzlies in 2022 worth up to $231 million.
