Gwyneth Paltrow slammed for ‘wellness’ routine: ‘Sounds like colonoscopy prep’

Well, “heroin chic” is back.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s so-called “wellness” routine came under fire Wednesday after the Goop founder touted her controversial lifestyle on a recent podcast episode, giving listeners the skinny on how she maintains her bod.

Chatting with Dr. Will Cole on an episode of “The Art of Being Well,” Paltrow, 50, detailed her meticulous daily routine, which involves coffee that won’t “spike” her blood sugar, her first meal of bone broth – or “soup,” as she called it – at noon, then an early dinner of “lots of vegetables” to fit her “paleo” diet.

In between her two meals, she tries to fit in an hour of “movement,” whether that’s taking a walk or following a Tracy Anderson workout, then dry brushes and a 30-minute infrared sauna session.

But not everyone was on board the wellness guru’s practices, as aghast viewers reacted to the star’s rigid routine in the comments.

Many people compared her diet to an “almond mom” – the derogatory term for a middle-aged woman who eats very little, mostly non-nutritious snacks instead of full meals.

Coined on TikTok, so-called “almond moms” are emblematic of a culture obsessed with beauty, thinness and fad diets.

“Almond mom final boss,” one person wrote about Paltrow, racking up 39,000 likes in agreement.

“The mother of all almond moms,” another agreed.

“Bone broth is not soup,” argued one disgruntled viewer.

“Is starving wellness?” someone else quipped.

“One hour of movement on bone broth and coffee,” someone noted.

“This literally sounds like colonoscopy prep,” another joked.

“Wellness also known as [an eating disorder],” one user commented.

Other viewers raised eyebrows at how exhausted Paltrow appeared in the clip, with some arguing that even at the same age, the wellness enthusiast appeared at least a decade older.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, women ages 31 to 50 require anywhere from 1,800 calories to 2,200 calories every day depending on physical activity, but experts online slammed Paltrow for seemingly consuming way less.

Popular registered dietician Lauren Cadillac reacted to the clip on TikTok, stitching Paltrow’s interview snippet in her own video.

At one point, Cadillac covered her mouth in shock, noting that Paltrow eats “no food” to start her day and that bone broth “is not a meal.”

She blasted the actress for her “disordered” eating habits, writing in the caption, “THIS IS NOT ENOUGH FOOD especially for someone that is 5’9” Please stop following and listening to celebrities for your health and wellness advice.”

Amid the heyday of Ozempic jabs, A-listers are scrambling to get their hands on weight-loss treatments and jumping on trendy diets.

The result is – in short – starvation.

Drugs like Wegovy and Ozempic, intended for people with Type 2 diabetes, make the user fuller for longer and slow digestion, resulting in weight loss.

While appears Paltrow doesn’t need an injectable to curb her hunger, she relies on antioxidant IVs to get her dose of vitamins.

She admitted to receiving glutathione, which promotes tissue building and repairs as well as boosts the immune system, and phosphatidylcholine, a phospholipid typically found in common foods that can aid fat metabolism and maintain cell structure.

The latter, she said, is her “favorite.”

“I love an IV,” she shared in another clip posted on the Dear Media TikTok account, which hosts Cole’s podcast. “I’m an early IV adopter.

“And those make me feel so good,” she added while receiving vitamins intravenously.

Paltrow’s diet has been put on blast by fans before, as she regularly boasts “detox” recipes and celeb “cleanses.”

She’s even backed a raw vegan diet that experts have warned could pose health risks.
