Emmy Rossum’s ‘heavy’ fake ‘Angelyne’ breasts gave her blisters

Emmy Rossum’s ‘heavy’ fake ‘Angelyne’ breasts gave her blisters

Emmy Rossum didn’t have the breast time filming “Angelyne.”

The actress fully transformed into the iconic singer/model for the upcoming Peacock series — including rocking a very large, fake chest.

Rossum, 35, revealed a medley of beauty secrets from the set in a profile for the Hollywood Reporter.

She explained that she spent about four to five hours in makeup per day and bleached her eyebrows. Rossum also got blisters from the fake breasts she had to wear for filming.

The “Shameless” alum also endured tear duct complications from wearing two pairs of contact lenses at a time.

“The physicality of the character was challenging,” she said. “The body is heavy, yet it has to feel light and effervescent.”

She added, “I found it to be completely liberating to look in the mirror and not see myself at all. At first, it’s unnerving. But feeling lost gives way to this real liberation — from myself and the hang-ups that can impede a performance.”

Rossum and her husband, “Mr. Robot” creator Sam Esmail, are both producing the five-episode limited series about pop culture extraordinaire Angelyne, who stepped into the spotlight in the 1980s.

Esmail, 44, noted what it was like to see his wife become a completely different person. “When I say that there are times where I did not recognize her because she was lost in this person, I really mean it. This is my wife I’m talking about. It’s kind of eerie,” he said.

Angelyne — born Renee Tami Goldberg — was the daughter of two Holocaust survivors who created her alter ego and became a Los Angeles billboard icon in the 1980s.

Rossum also shared the advice Angelyne gave her before embarking on shooting the show.

She told Variety during the pink carpet premiere of the series on Wednesday that Angelyne, 71, gave producers the rights to her life, as well as art, trademarks and her music catalog to be used on camera.

“It was so important to me that she be involved in this and that we were able to faithfully recreate her iconic billboards,” the “Beautiful Creatures” star said. “And it was really, really important to me that she be paid for her contribution, not just to the show, but to pop culture over the last 50 years.”

“Angelyne” drops on Peacock May 19.
