BTS’ J-Hope’s Jack in the Box makes record by officially entering the Billboard charts

BTS member J-Hope is currently on cloud nine as his recently released album Jack in the Box has received a humongous response from music lovers around the world. Now, the latest that we know is that the album has made it to the Billboard charts, thereby adding yet another feather to Hobi’s hat. On July 25, 2022, the album ranked at no. 17 on the Billboard 200 chart.


For the unversed, Jack in the Box was released on July 15, 2022. Talking about J-Hope, he had earlier topped the Billboard charts, too, which include topping the top 200 with Love Yourself: Tear in 2018 with the other BTS members, Love Yourself Answer, Map of the Soul: 7, and Map of the Soul: Persona, Proof, etc.

In particular, BTS member J-Hope has become the first Korean solo artist to have his two albums reach the top 40 of the Billboard 200 chart. J-Hope’s mixtape titled Hope World was ranked at no. 38 in the Billboard 200 chart in March 2018. Another BTS member, Suga, aka August D, also ranked at no. 11, and the group leader RM ranked at no. 26 in the same chart. Talking about one of the double title songs of Hobi’s album, which is titled Arson ranked at no. 96 on the week’s main single Hot 100 chart.


Arson


The title track Arson was released on the same day as J-Hope’s solo album Jack in the Box. For the unversed, both Arson and MORE are the double title tracks of Jack in the Box. Previously, J-Hope surprised his fans on July 1, 2022, after pre-releasing the track MORE from the album with its official music video. We get to see a completely different version of J-Hope in Arson as he calls himself a fireman of chaos in the track while grappling with the choices he made in his life. J-Hope uses Arson as a way of addressing his inner aspirations and his anguish when facing moments of choice all the way through his life’s journey.

The official music video of Arson crossed 62000 likes on the very day when it got released. Moreover, around 35000 fans were waiting for the music video’s release by the time the clock struck 1 pm KST. With around five minutes to go for the official premiere, the world witnessed around 113131 fans waiting for the music video’s release with over 187000 likes. Around 353633 live viewers showed up and tuned in to the premiere of Arson.
