Bills win chaotic Thanksgiving thriller over Lions

The Lions gave their fans more heartbreak on Thanksgiving.

Detroit lost 28-25 in a back-and-forth battle with the Bills with a chaotic finish that included a field goal by each team in the final 30 seconds.

After Michael Badgley squeezed in a 51-yard field goal with 23 seconds left, Josh Allen responded with a 36-yard bullet completion to Stefon Diggs. Allen — nursing an injured elbow — then carried it twice for 12 yards to set up the Tyler Bass game-winner from 45 yards.

The Lions were riding a three-game winning streak heading into the game and went toe-to-toe with one of the best teams in the NFL. The Bills improved to 8-3 with the victory, while the Lions dropped to 4-7.

“Those are ones that are tough to win, they take a lot out of you,” Allen said in an interview with CBS after the game.

The victory may come with a price. The Bills lost star pass-rusher Von Miller to a knee sprain in the first half.
