Zach Wilson was named NFL’s Rookie of the Week on Thursday after leading his team to an overtime victory over the Tennessee Titans. The 22-year-old completed 21 of 34 for 297 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
His girlfriend, Abbey Gile, shared the New York Jets’ announcement and said, “So proud & so blessed.”
After the Jets 27-24 win over the Titans on Sunday, Gile posted a picture of the longtime couple in front of Metlife Stadium.
“Got the W. Always proud of him,” she wrote.
The Jets organization and fans felt the same way after seeing the No. 2 NFL Draft pick dominate.
Model Sophia Culpo, dating Wilson’s teammate Braxton Berrios, commented on the Utah native’s victory picture: “Zach has to have a pumpkin spice latte before every game now.”
Gile replied, laughing. “HAHAH HE TOLD ME BRAXTON WAS GIVING HIM CRAP im dying.”
Gile has been by Wilson’s side since high school. The 21-year-old constantly praises her “better half” and gushes over his accomplishments.
Wilson shows his love in return, commenting, “Thank you so much for supporting me” and “I love you” on her posts.
