- Daniel Bryan lost to Brock Lesnar last time the two faced off
- With Drew Gulak training him now, Bryan is confident of turning tables around
- Bryan is hoping to get a shot at Intercontinental title at WrestleMania 36
Former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) champion Daniel Bryan has said he will defeat Brock Lesnar, provided he gets a rematch with the reigning WWE champion.
Bryan mentioned this while discussing various topics on the latest edition of WWE’s "The Bump" including his inter-promotional match against Lesnar at the Survivor Series 2018. It was Lesnar who dominated in the beginning but after a while, tables turned around and it looked like Bryan stood a chance to pin The Beast. It was known that the fight was initially organized between Lesnar and AJ Styles but the change of plans happened when Bryan shockingly won the WWE title on the Blue brand.
Speaking on "The Bump", Bryan said now that Drew Gulak is helping him train, the result could go his way if he gets a chance to fight Lesnar again.
“With Drew [Gulak] helping me train, I have no doubt that I - no one can defeat Brock Lesnar- but I believe, I would love to have another one [match]. And with Drew as my coach, I think I can come out on top this time, maybe,” added Bryan.
A while back, Bryan and Gulak got into a feud and they faced off at the 2020 Elimination Chamber PPV. Soon after that, they joined hands and now the duo is in a feud with Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn, Cesaro, and Shinsuke Nakamura. The upcoming episode of SmackDown on Fox will see Gulak fight against Nakamura. If Gulak emerges victorious in the bout, which would give Bryan a chance to have an Intercontinental title shot at WrestleMania 36.
WrestleMania 36 is scheduled to be aired on April 5 and 6. Due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, the historic WWE event for the first time is going to take place without an audience and is a two-night affair. The venue has also been shifted from the Raymond James Stadium to WWE’s Performance Center in Florida.
