Jennifer Aniston's revelation about cutting ties with people who do not want to get vaccinated received mixed responses on Twitter.
The "Friends" alum revealed in her recent interview with InStyle that she lost a number of people who refused or did not disclose whether or not they have been vaccinated. Aniston believed that it's one's "professional obligation" to disclose their vaccination status.
Twitter users have mixed opinions about her take on vaccination. Some of them agreed with her while others claimed it should not come to a point where she has to remove some people from her life because of it. Many also seemingly mocked and questioned Aniston’s statement and said they won’t believe her due to her relationship status. Aniston is currently single, but she was previously married to Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux.
"Jennifer Aniston doesn’t wanna be friends with anyone who didn’t get the vaccine. As if this b---h was that important that anyone is gonna change their stance on getting vaccinated. And I felt bad for her but now I see why brad Pitt left her she’s a c@nt…. That’s move than half," one critic wrote.
"Shame people are cutting off friends and family because of vaccine status. For something they may nevvvver even get but if so a 99.7% recovery rate. Idiocy Jennifer Aniston," another stated.
"I wouldn’t take advice from Aniston. She doesn’t seem to have many stable relationships, especially with men," a third user wrote with laughing emoji.
"Forgive me for decling the advice of this once TV sitcom actor and twice-divorced box office disaster. Yes, Jen, turn your back on friends and loved ones for having the courage to do what's best for them. You're a real 'friend,'" a fourth netizen added sarcastically with face with rolling eyes emoji.
"Ugh I don’t drop friends because they’re not vaccinated. I have a good friend who has serious health issues and surgeries. Her doctor said she can’t get the vaccine. That’s a fact. So I can’t see her but we’ll always be friends. Bye Jen I don’t want you as my friend," a fifth added.
Despite the backlash aimed at “The Morning Show” star, many also supported Aniston because for them, getting vaccinated is a must. Several even praised her for being brave and bold to cut ties with those who didn’t want to get vaccinated.
"Same," one commented expressing her approval of Aniston's decision.
"She’s not talking from any medically qualified background, she just saying if you’ve had the jab or not, you should say… seems reasonable for both sides," another added.
"I still love her," a third wrote.
"Stunning and brave," a fourth netizen added.
"As she should Queen," a fifth user wrote.
In the interview, Aniston stressed the need for the public to get vaccinated and seemingly shaded the anti-vaxxers for not listening to the facts.
“[T]here’s still a large group of people who are anti-vaxxers or just don’t listen to the facts. It’s a real shame. I’ve just lost a few people in my weekly routine who have refused or did not disclose [whether or not they had been vaccinated], and it was unfortunate,” she said.
