‘The Bachelor’ Matt James Posts Telling Photo Of His Runner-Up As Winner Rumors Swirl

Matt James can’t stop dropping hints about his “The Bachelor” season finale.

One week after fans noticed he may have accidentally spoiled his “The Bachelor” 2021 winner on Spotify, he’s now giving fans a clue about his runner-up on Instagram.

On Monday, ahead of ABC releasing Season 25, episode 4 of the dating series, Matt took to Instagram to post a photo of one of his contestants. The woman in question is Michelle Young, one of five incoming cast members being introduced during Monday’s installment.

The kicker? Michelle, a 27-year-old from Minnesota, is rumored to be in his final two, eventually taking the runner-up spot next to speculated winner Rachael Kirkconnell.

“Better late than never,” Matt captioned a shot of him meeting Michelle for the first time outside Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. The post was accompanied by a heart emoji. Matt did not post any pictures of the other four incoming contestants.

As of Monday afternoon, the post has over 93,000 likes and thousands of comments.

Unlike the official “The Bachelor” Instagram account which has posted several images of Rachael, Matt has yet to post a picture of the 24-year-old contestant, whom spoiler king Reality Steve has reported will secure his first-place win this season.

Weeks after teasing Rachael’s win via his blog, he confirmed the Georgia native as Matt's official finale pick on Jan. 21. Reality Steve's confirmation came just days after “Bachelor” sleuths uncovered Matt’s Spotify account had listened to one of Rachael’s playlists post-show.

Watch Michelle’s first episode of “The Bachelor” Monday at 8 p.m. EST on ABC and stay tuned to the network every Monday to follow Matt’s journey to find love.
