TE Tyler Conklin sharp, but Jets WRs only catch the dropsies

Observations for Jets training camp on Saturday.

Fit to be Ty

TE Tyler Conklin is having a strong training camp, and that continued Saturday night. He had four catches, all from Zach Wilson. The two seem to already have nice chemistry.

Butterfingers

The wide receivers had too many drops in the game. Corey Davis, Jeff Smith, Elijah Moore and Braxton Berrios all had a drop. The one by Davis was on the two-minute drill and killed the offense’s momentum.

Caught my eye

Rookie Micheal Clemons is powerful. He blows up offensive linemen. On Saturday night, he exploded into the backfield and stopped a run before it could start. The fourth-round pick could have a role this season.

Medical report

OL Conor McDermott left the scrimmage with an ankle injury that will require further tests. CB D.J. Reed (hamstring) and RB Ty Johnson (hamstring) did not practice.
