Sydney Sweeney was ‘nervous’ to work with Dakota Johnson: ‘She’s so hot’

Sydney Sweeney said that she was nervous to work with Dakota Johnson on the upcoming superhero movie “Madame Web” because “she’s so hot.”

Sweeney, 25, who’s best known for “Euphoria” and “The White Lotus,” will star in the Marvel movie with Johnson in the titular role, as well as Emma Roberts and Adam Scott. The movie is set in the “Spider-Man” world, and it will be about the clairvoyant character Madame Web.

Johnson, 33, is best known for starring in the steamy “Fifty Shades of Grey” movies opposite Jamie Dornan, which is about a couple in a BDSM relationship.

“I have to say — I snuck ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ in high school. My parents didn’t let me watch it, and I watched it. So I’m a huge fan of her. She’s so hot,” Sweeney told Variety.

Sweeney’s parents and upbringing have been a point of contention online. Over the summer, she made headlines for sharing photos of her mom’s hoedown-themed 60th birthday bash, which received social media backlash when fans perceived it meant her family was aligned with Donald Trump as some guests were wearing “Make America Great Again” caps.

“You guys this is wild. An innocent celebration for my moms milestone 60th birthday has turned into an absurd political statement, which was not the intention,” she tweeted in response. “Please stop making assumptions. Much love to everyone and Happy Birthday Mom!”

Now, she’s revealed that she wasn’t allowed to watch “Fifty Shades of Grey” in high school.

She said she hasn’t yet shared her opinions with Johnson, “But, Dakota, you’re hot and I loved working with you.”

Sweeney has also made headlines for talking about how she doesn’t have enough income to take a six-month break from working, despite having an Emmy nomination, roles in blockbusters, and a $3 million mansion.

Plot details of “Madame Web” are being kept under wraps, including Sweeney’s role, but it’s scheduled to premiere in February 2024. She’s also got a high-profile role coming up in “Barbarella,” based on Jean-Claude Forest’s French comic book series that was famously made into a 1968 movie starring Jane Fonda.

About the hush-hush nature of her upcoming roles, Sweeney said, “I feel like my whole life is a secret. It’s really hard.”
