As Huffpost reports, host Jimmy Fallon mentioned that according to Matarazzo, who portrays Dustin on the show, the upcoming season may be "the scariest one" yet.

"That's the one thing that I've noticed," Matarazzo said of the script. "They're going for it this year. That's pretty cool."

Just last week, Matarazzo revealed that the new season of "Stranger Things," which saw its production delayed due to the pandemic, will most definitely have a mature tone.

"When it comes to the tone of the season, it's definitely, I think the tone is definitely matured for sure, and I think they do that on purpose because I think they [creators Matt and Ross Duffer] want their show to mature with their kids," the star told ET Online.

He added, "As we are growing older as people, we have to grow older as characters. They're confronted by this issue, but they embrace it, and they use it to their advantage. And they don't freak out when we get taller or when our voices drop or anything like that. They use it and they use it as ammunition for their writing. It's incredible what they can do. Working with them, it's just exceptional. Always has been."

To hold you over until the “Stranger Things” Season 4 premiere, seasons 1-3 of the show are currently streaming on Netflix.
