Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Unable to change Resolution Issue: Is there any fix yet

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is one of the few projects to come out in recent years from the EA-Lucasfilm deal. Now that Ubisoft is also in the fold to make a new open-world Star Wars game, EA has only a handful of titles left to release. Jedi: Survivor is the sequel to 2019’s Fallen Order, as it continues on with the story of Cal Kestis and his struggle against the Galactic Empire. Launched on April 28, 2023, the game can be purchased on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows. There is no word on the release date for the eight-generation consoles yet, though. Upon its release, the game was generally praised for its overall gameplay and narrative, but at the same time, it was highly panned by both fans and critics for the horrible optimization done by Respawn. While the performance on consoles was acceptable, it was the PC port that had more jarring issues. One of them being unable to change the resolution in the game.

Changing resolution is one of the sure-fire ways to deal with lag and power draw on the GPU. Furthermore, if you are willing to sacrifice quality, you can get more FPS in games by lowering the in-game resolution. Something that’s important in competitive games like Valorant, CS: GO, and such. Suffice it to say, the ability to change resolution is a great little tool that not only gives the player more freedom to customize their game but also helps them deal with performance issues. However, Star Wars Jedi Survivor players aren’t able to do the same due to an unknown bug. So, is there a workaround for the “unable to change resolution” issue in the game? Let’s find out!

Well, this issue has been encountered by players after the release of the latest patch. So, if you are facing it, don’t worry, you are not alone. For starters, if you have the game on Borderless Fullscreen then we recommend that you change it to Fullscreen instead. This will allow you to change the resolution of the game. If you are using a mouse, you can select the Resolution option and press “A” or “D” to change the in-game resolution. The reason why you can’t change resolution when you are in borderless fullscreen is that when that option is selected, it will use the resolution you have chosen for Windows itself rather than the game.

For some reason, using a controller to change the in-game resolution on PC doesn’t work, so use a mouse to navigate and change the setting. Remember that you can always contact EA support if the aforementioned method doesn’t work for you. Additionally, you can visit the game’s Steam discussion page for more details. Well, for more guides and info on the latest gaming trends, don’t forget to bookmark DigiStatement.
