Meanwhile Chase Anderson is looking to recapture the form he had with the Milwaukee Brewers as he went 29-16 with a 3.63 ERA between the 2017-19 seasons while allowing just 7.6 hits per nine innings. He posted a 7.22 ERA with 12 hits surrendered per nine innings in 10 appearances for the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Giants entered Sunday hitting .208 as a team, the third-worst average in the league while the Phillies rank 26th in the league in percentage of their at-bats that result in a home run.
With the Giants pitching staff giving up the second-fewest home runs per nine innings and having the highest rate of games that have gone under the total with 10 of their first 14 going under, runs figure to be scarce on Monday.
