Paul Pierce preparing to reveal next move after ESPN firing

Paul Pierce might be revealing his next move very soon.

After being fired by ESPN over Instagram videos he published of himself with scantily clad women, the Celtics great said in a video posted by TMZ that he could announce his new venture “as early as next week.”

“It’s coming soon, trust me,” the 43-year-old Pierce said in the video. “Truth gonna bounce back like never before.”

Pierce has seemed to be in good spirits since getting fired, based on his Instagram activity.

“Yo, just want to thank all my supporters and thank my haters and everything,” Pierce said in a video posted after the firing. “Check it out, bigger and better things coming, baby. Don’t worry about it. You fall twice, you get up three times. Just always remember to smile, baby.”

Michelle Beadle, a former ESPN NBA teammate of Pierce’s, showed support for him with a comment on that video.

“Looks like our cooking and dance show can finally happen,” Beadle wrote. “You book the dancers. I’ll grab some grub. Boom. Emmy.”

It’s unclear what Pierce’s next move will be, although Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy said he was “gonna make a run” at him.
