Patrick Mahomes’ birthday week got off to a sweet start on Saturday.

In one photo, Matthews — who recently turned 27 herself – is seen posing beside Mahomes and a collection of balloons as a “Let’s party” sign is illuminated in the background. The couple later stood in front of a different backdrop that read, “XXVII Mahomes.”

Matthews, who is expecting her second child with Mahomes, a baby boy, also shared a few snaps from the party on her Instagram Stories, notably one pic of the birthday boy standing beside a “1995” sign.

“What a great year this was,” Matthews remarked of Mahomes’ birth year.

This past year has been a memorable one for Mahomes, as he and Matthews tied the knot in Hawaii back in March. That same month, the couple — who is parents to 1-year-old daughter Sterling — also celebrated 10 years together.

“10 Years with my Boo! Time to start over and start Celebrating our Marriage, oh & also our Rock Paper Scissors record,” Matthews gushed on Instagram at the time. “Love you the most.”

Earlier this month, Mahomes began his sixth season in the NFL. During Thursday’s home opener in Kansas City, the quarterback completed 24 of 35 passes for 235 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions in the Chiefs’ 27-24 victory.

The Chiefs will visit the Colts next Sunday.
