Outriders June 2021 upcoming patch update to bring changes to legendary drops & fix sign-in issues

The latest patch for the co-operative third-person role-playing game Outriders from publisher Square Enix and developer People Can Fly, is set to come out later this week, and the devs have already posted all of the news and the various content updates and fixes coming to the game as part of the patch. Let’s take a look at all of the info revealed in this Reddit post.

First up, let’s take a look at Square Enix addressing the faulty rollout of the Appreciation Package, where many players were given a weapon that they had already obtained previously. “We’re currently refining the appreciation package script and are planning to re-grant the package to players who will have claimed it between its initial release (last Thursday) and when it’s [sic] new version will be deployed (likely next week).”

As is clear from this message, the appreciation package should be fixed within the week. Now, let’s look at what was changed with regard to Legendary Drops.

Legendary Drop Rates, across the board, will be increased by 100% This is absolutely massive news! This means there will now be twice the chance of receiving a Legendary Drop in the game.

Also, Legendary Level Brackets will be removed, so that all Legendary items can drop at any level. What this means is that enemies of any level will now be able to drop all Legendary items.

Legendary Anti-Duplication System will be implemented. Now, players will be able to re-roll a Legendary Item that they already have in their inventory, thus reducing the chances of a duplicate, but not eliminating it.

Scripted Boss Loot (Chrysaloid, Yagak) will be able to drop all non-class specific Legendary Helmets. This means a significantly increased pool of Legendary helmets that can be dropped by these two bosses.

The Luck system will be improved. Hopefully, this means an end to the Legendary Item droughts that many players faced during Endgame, thus hindering their ability to progress.

The upcoming patch is also fixing a sign-in issue which seems to caused by the game pulling all data tables related to balancing updated since launch, which takes too long and this causes a sign-in timeout. “Our upcoming patch will include changes and improvements to the backend sign-in system which are aimed at improving sign-in times and mitigating against sign-in issues, especially on Xbox. We are now cooking the updated tables directly into our next patch, which should improve sign-in times significantly.”

Let’s hope the sign-in errors are gone forever from Outriders after this upcoming patch. We hope you enjoyed this coverage of the June 2021 update of Outriders, be sure to take a look at our other articles on Pokemon, the new Brawlhalla update, and the new Brawl Stars brawlers.
