"Xenoblade Chronicles 3," the supposed third installment in the hit series of action role-playing games developed by Monolith Soft and published by Nintendo, is reportedly not releasing anytime soon and it looks like fans will have to wait until 2023 before they could get their hands on the much-awaited title.

The latest information about "Xenoblade Chronicles 3" came from the industry insider who goes by the name Nate The Hate. In a recent podcast, they claimed that the game's development was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Monolith Soft, the gaming studio behind the upcoming game, is reportedly working right now to fix a number of technical issues in the game. The insider further detailed that the delay in the game's rollout was due to issues related to "optimization."

Earlier rumors mentioned Nintendo aimed to announce the game in 2021 but it did not happen because of various obstacles in the game's development process. As for the game's official reveal, the insider suggested that Nintendo could choose to announce the game sometime in the first half of 2022.

The insider also mentioned there is a great chance for the game to release in December 2022. However, it is starting to appear that the game could debut on Nintendo Switch in 2023 instead.
