Wilmington Trust Reveals Global Capital Markets Team Additions

Wilmington Trust, a leader in corporate and institutional trust services, announced changes to its Global Capital Markets (GCM) leadership team. Susie Aliker will be welcomed as head of GCM Europe, and Alan Geraghty will be named head of GCM Global Product Management.

Building on the firm’s strong franchise and revenue growth in recent years, Aliker will be responsible for accelerating that growth through broadening and deepening the customer proposition in the European market, including leveraging the firm’s established M&A and Project Finance practices in the US. At the same time, Geraghty will lead ongoing customer-centric development of the global GCM product proposition. Both will report to the head of GCM, Abby Mrozinski.

Aliker and Geraghty will jointly lead the execution of an ambitious five-year growth plan throughout Europe by broadening product capabilities, enhancing client relationships, and driving bottom-line contribution through increased efficiency.

Aliker will lead the firm’s offices in the U.K., Ireland, and Germany, providing corporate, trustee, custody, collateral, and agency services to corporations and structured finance and loan markets. She brings 25+ years of experience after holding executive positions with Credit Suisse, British Arab Commercial Bank (as CFO and CEO), and Tandem Bank, most recently as CEO.

Geraghty has over twenty years of experience in the financial services industry and led Wilmington Trust’s GCM Europe business for almost ten years since joining the company in 2004. He will now be responsible for globally defining GCM’s product strategy while leading innovation and development.

This change comes on the heels of the recent launch of Wilmington Trust’s European Project Finance offering, a business line that the firm has grown by 700% globally in the last six years.
