‘The View’ hosts flee studio after grease fire at ‘Tamron Hall Show’ next door: ‘We do not know who started it’

They didn’t start the fire — or, the tale of a real Hot Topic.

“The View” co-hosts and show staff were forced to flee their studio before Wednesday morning’s show after a grease fire broke out at “The Tamron Hall Show,” which shoots in the studio next door.

No one was injured in the blaze, and “The View” (11 a.m./Ch. 7) carried on as usual once the dust (and smoke) settled.

“Tamron Hall,” meanwhile, sent its audience home and aired a repeat in its 10 a.m. timeslot on Ch. 7.

“View” co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Ana Navarro, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin were forced to flee to the streets of Manhattan after the blaze broke out as firemen responded to the emergency, according to People.

The co-hosts later walked out into the studio to shoot “The View” to the tune of Billy Joel’s 1989 hit “We Didn’t Start the Fire.”

“This morning we had to evacuate the studio because there was a fire that we did not start,” Goldberg, 68, said at the top of the show, noting that the blaze originated in “The Tamron Hall Show” studios. “We do not know who started it, we do not know what started it.”

“It really made me understand my priorities, because once I saw all the hosts were fine, I was like, ‘Where’s my glam team?’ ” said Griffin, 34. “Like, leave [executive producer Brian Teta], but as long as hair and makeup is safe.'”

“Yes, it’s really dangerous to seeing us on the street without hair and makeup,” Behar, 81, added.

When the conversation veered toward what the co-hosts grabbed on their way out of the studio, Hostin, 55, said she left her purse — but grabbed her phone.

“I grabbed my purse,” said Goldberg. “When that happens, as you’re evacuating, you snatch up your [purse] cause that’s your ID!”

Navarro, 52, who lives in Miami and commutes in twice a week for the show, missed most of the action.

“I was coming in from the airport and there was a Hot Topics meeting so I pressed the Zoom link, thinking I would find all of you on the Zoom, and it was dark, empty and alarm and flashing lights.

“I thought, ‘Holy hell.’ “

Meanwhile, once the fire was under control, Hall, 53, taped a live message — in front of a black screen — to let viewers know why “The Tamron Hall Show” was airing a rerun.

“I know things look a little different around here,” Hall said. “We have had something that’s never happened on the five seasons of ‘The Tamron Hall Show.'”

Hall explained that the grease fire broke out in the show’s kitchen before taping began. “Our team reacted in incredible time,” said Hall. “We were in place, preparing for our live show today. The audience was in the holding area of the show, preparing to come out here and cheer and have a phenomenal show today. But as my friend Bevy Smith says, ‘Sometimes live be lifing,’ and that happened to us today.”

She then thanked the firefighters for their help and gave a shout-out to the in-person studio audience for their support.

“I’m going to fade to black but I’ll be back here on our set live tomorrow,” she said.
