‘The Talk’ ending after 15 seasons on CBS

“The Talk” is coming to “The End.”

CBS has canned the long-running talk show, which debuted in 2010.

The network revealed on Friday that the series will come back in September for a shorter 15th season and will officially depart in December.

“’The Talk’ broke new ground when it launched 14 years ago by returning daytime talk to CBS with a refreshing and award-winning format,” CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach and CBS Studios president David Stapf said in a statement.

“Throughout the years, it has been a key program on CBS’ top rated daytime line-up as it brought timely, important and entertaining topics and discussions into living rooms around the globe,” the executives continued.

The final season will get a “proper sendoff” in the winter, and will celebrate the legacy of the series.

Sara Gilbert created the show, with OG hosts Julie Chen Moonves, Holly Robinson Peete, Sharon Osbourne and Leah Remini sitting at the round table.

The current emcees include stars Sheryl Underwood, Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales and Jerry O’Connell.

“It goes without saying that hosting and producing a year-round talk show is no easy task, and we express our sincere gratitude to our amazing hosts,” the memo went on.

“We also want to acknowledge our former show hosts and colleagues who contributed throughout the seasons. We truly appreciate the skill, creativity, and dedication everyone involved brought to the show every day.”

“And of course, we thank the numerous guests who appeared, and the millions of viewers who tuned in daily,” they concluded.

“The Talk” is filmed in front of a live studio audience at the CBS Studio Center in Studio City, Calif.

The show has been nominated for a plethora of Emmy Awards, winning three accolades.

Other hosts that have taken over the spot over the years, included Aisha Tyler, Eve, Carrie Ann Inaba, Marie Osmond and Elaine Welteroth.

Deadline reported that the chat show had become the “lowest-rated show on the CBS daytime lineup” after longtime executive producer Kristin Matthews exited in June of 2023.

“The Late Late Show with James Corden” executive producer Rob Crabbe then took over her role.
