‘The Simpsons’ predicted Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential run in 2015

“The Simpsons” has done it again.

“Simpsons” producer Al Jean pointed out Wednesday that the hit FOX show “predicted the future” once again.

Following Trump’s highly-anticipated announcement that he would run for President in 2024, the producer tweeted a clip from a 2015 episode featuring Homer Simpson and a presidential campaign sign reading “Trump 2024.”

The clip comes from the episode “Bart to the Future,” in which the audience sees President Lisa Simpson talking about Trump’s presidency, NME reported.

“As you know, we’ve inherited quite a budget cut from President Trump,” says President Simpson in the snippet Jean shared on Twitter.

“@TheSimpsons As predicted in 2015,” tweeted the producer.

Trump made his campaign announcement after several months of speculation on whether or not he would seek the Presidency for the third time.

“In order to make America great and glorious again, I am tonight announcing my candidacy for president of the United States,” said Trump. “America’s golden age is just ahead.”

This is not the first time “The Simpsons” has allegedly predicted the future.

According to the show, they predicted the death of British Monarch Queen Elizabeth as well as the resignation of embattled British prime minister Liz Truss.

In 2019, the show allegedly also predicted the Capitol riot as well as Ted Cruz’s ill-timed trip to Cancun while Texans suffered in the severe cold.
