The Fugees — comprised of Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel — are reuniting for a celebratory tour for the first time in 15 years.
The trio is launching a 12-city, 25th-anniversary international tour celebrating their classic 1996 album “The Score.”
On Wednesday, the group will play an “intimate pop-up show” at an undisclosed location in New York City. That concert will be filmed and later a part of the Global Citizen Live event on Saturday.
“The Fugees have a complex but impactful history,” Hill said in a statement via Live Nation Entertainment. “I wasn’t even aware the 25th anniversary had arrived until someone brought it to my attention.”
The official tour kicks off Nov. 2 in Chicago at the United Center and is slated to run for seven North American stops, ending in Washington, DC. Stops also include cities in New Jersey, California and Georgia. International concerts will be held in London, Paris, Ghana and Nigeria in December.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. local time this Friday via Live Nation. Fans can sign up for a chance to win tickets for Wednesday’s NYC show at the Global Citizen site.

The group disbanded the following year, once the artists started pursuing other projects — like Hill’s 1998 record “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” — but released one final single together in 2005 before an “official” breakup in 2006.
While rumors circulated around why exactly the iconic trio split, Jean’s 2012 autobiography, “Purpose,” accused Hill of lying about the paternity of her son, Zion. Jean alleged that Hill said the child was his — Hill and Jean, who was married, reportedly had an affair — but Zion’s father was actually Rohan Marley, son of reggae legend Bob Marley.

“As I celebrate 25 years with the Fugees, my first memory was that we vowed, from the gate, we would not just do music — we would be a movement,” Jean said in a statement. “We would be a voice for the unheard, and in these challenging times, I am grateful once again, that God has brought us together.”
